Collage and Assemblage

Under Collage and Assemblage, works by Magdalena Hohlweg are brought together in which found objects, plant remnants and visual elements are combined to form new pictorial worlds. The result is collages and assemblages made from found objects – from small-format miniature collages to larger works composed of numerous miniature elements. Depending on their structure, the works lean more strongly towards collage or assemblage while also sitting at the intersection of mixed media and object art.
