My projects often begin with small discoveries: plant remains, insects, stories, or observations. From these, I develop visual spaces, series of works, and narratives—sometimes over the course of months, sometimes as a result of exhibitions, encounters, or collaborative projects with children.
I’m interested in how things transform: a found object, an animal, a memory, an observation. I reinterpret the ordinary and elevate it to art in my work—giving it a new form, its own story, and a new context.

Great art by small artists
Art and children go hand in hand. Every now and then, I have the special honor of working with children to create new insect species. Every time, we make amazing discoveries. That was also the case with this project with a school class or with the hearing-impaired children at the Elbschule Hamburg. And also as a part of the accompanying program for my exhibition in Bad Arolsen. Also accompanying the special exhibition “Romanticism 2.0” in Bad Pyrmont

Game with new rules
New circumstances demand new rules. By exploring traditional blueprinting on the occasion of an exhibition, I have broken new ground. The result is a special deck of cards – the MatriaSKAT
