The title of the picture is inspired by a Romantic poem: “Heart, my heart, why so cheerful, <\/span>So full of restlessness and scattered, <\/span>As if over mountains blissfully came <\/span>Already the beautiful springtime?”<\/span><\/p>\n Joseph von Eichendorff – “New Love” (1837) <\/span><\/p>\n Plant remnants on watercolor – and that’s it? These figures made of dried flowers made me think of great egrets: with their elegant plumage, they stand out from the dreary landscape and wade through the reeds with a measured step. Or are they perhaps dancing the tango? Perhaps the little moorhens that are frolicking in the gnarled bank shrubs at the bottom of the scene know.<\/p>\n One thing is certain: this luminous scene shines in all its glory as soon as it is allowed to take pride of place on the wall, on a shelf, windowsill or next to your favorite armchair.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Collage of plant remains on watercolor.
