Between fragment and meaning<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Miniature worlds between natural history observation and free imagination are created from botanical fragments, seeds and inconspicuous found objects. Bird sculptures made from seed capsules, insect art from plant remains and everyday found objects – in my miniature assemblages, the smallest things become the protagonists. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In collage and assemblage, I place these materials in new relationships. What at first seems familiar often turns out to be different on closer inspection. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

At second glance, the small becomes big.In the miniature compositions, countless parts interlock in just a few centimetres – a network of found objects and shapes. What originally didn’t belong together comes together harmoniously – between sugary sweet and morbid. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
